What happens to the custody arrangement when the non custodial parent moves to the other side of the country?

my ex moved to north dakota a couple of months ago the court suspended his regular visitation and gave him weekends when we provides two weeks notice and also 3 hours during the week with 48 hours notice i live in nj so thats a long drive for those times he wants 6 weeks of the summer and all holidays so im at a loss i dont know what to do but if he takes practically the whole summer and holidays like spring break easter christmas thanksgiving and all that when do i have down time with our 4 year old son i feel like im just supposed to do all the work pay for all the stuff and then he has all the fun that doesn't seem right he moves so i get screwed i dont understand in our prior order i had two weeks vacation when do i get to take on vacation he has a lawyer i dont i cannot afford one and when i contacted leagal aide they will not go to court with me this suxs
